Who would wonder that a small island like Cyprus would have legit Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu acdemies. It all started from a man with passion for Jiu-Jitsu. A man with great abilities and vision for Jiu-Jitsu . Pantelis Panagidis is one of the first students of Renzo Gracie and one of the first professors that introduced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu in Europe.

 

He opened his first academy 'Aspida Team Renzo Gracie Cyprus' in 2001 and at this moment he has under his supervision 8 academies that keep the flag of Renzo Gracie in Cyprus, Greece and Russia.  Currently he teaches in Renzo Gracie Nicosia, Cyprus. 

 

Panayiotis Melodias is one of the oldest members of the group that assisted Aspida Team Renzo Gracie to grow. He is the first Black Belt of professor Pantelis signed by professor Rolles Gracie. He has been teaching since 2011. He was head instructor at Trojans Gym and fight club for 6 years, and he is head instructor at MMA School the cage since 2015. He opened his academy Renzo Gracie Strovolos in 2017.

 

Renzo Gracie Strovolos participates in local competitions as well in international, having won medals in Grand Slams, European Tournaments, Abu dhabi National Pro Competition and many more. Renzo Gracie Strovolos is also a member of the National MMA Federation with local and international participation and wins.
